Microbiology encompasses de study of micro-organisms, unicellular or cell-cluster organisms. This includes eukaryotes, such as fungi and amoeboids (amoeba), and prokaryotes, such as bacteria.

Bacteria

To study the antimicrobial effects of several compounds and infection in invertebrates, we have access to:
- Staphyloccocus aureus
- Coagulase-negative staphylococci
- Escherichia coli
